Crude Oil Treating

As produced from the reservoir, crude oil contains contaminants such as water, suspended solids and water-soluble salts.  These contaminants are damaging to refinery equipment, and must be removed before crude oil can be processed into fuels and other products.  Exterran can design and deliver high performance systems for dehydrating and desalting crude oil.

Exterran offers a range of crude treatment systems based on mechanical, thermal/mechanical, and electrostatic coalescing technologies.  We manufacture state-of-the-art crude oil treatment systems based on the following proprietary designs:
