Logo Formats/Colors

The Exterran logo is available for download in various formats and configurations at the right side of this page. Please review the information below prior to download and adhere to all rules and requirements.

The Exterran logo is one symbol comprised of the word EXTERRAN with the sweeping graphic element forming the “X” and extending over the letters. The logo may be used with or without approved taglines; however, do not use the logo with a tagline at small sizes where a tagline becomes difficult to read.

While you can use a tagline separately away from the logo, do not invent any new juxtapostion near the logo. There may be instances where the logo will need to appear on a dark background or in a monochromatic scheme. Digital files are provided for these instances also, on the CD or online. We have made every effort to provide a logo that is easy to use in most applications and environments, however, unusual circumstances may arise. Before any alteration is made to the logo, it MUST be approved by the Exterran Corporate Communications office.

The preferred Exterran logo color color scheme is its signature blue and black. In instances where the background is dark, then the logo is used in reverse with the “Exterran” in blue and the sweeping “x” in white. To ensure that the colors remain consistent anytime and anywhere they are reproduced, we express the colors in internationally recognized formulas for offset printing and other commercial reproduction, digital use and on the web.

The spot colors are:

Blue Pantone Matching System (PMS) 279
Black Pantone Matching System (PMS) Black

Various media have their own system of replicating PMS colors. The chart below describes the formulas used for the blue and black in commercial printing, desktop printing or presentations, and web or electronic media.

For monochromatic uses, such as on a facsimile cover sheer, use the logo in all black. There may be rare instances in a monochromatic environment where a greyscale version of the logo is appropropriate. When the logo appears on a dark background, use the reverse version where the black is replaced with white.

Note: Should special materials or special circumstances necessitate a deviation from these color options, consult with Corporate Communications for assistance or approval.

Logo Spacing

A non-interference zone should be maintained around the Exterran logo as shown in diagrams 1 and 2 below. Whether you use the logo with or without a tagline, no stock ticker symbol, legal company name, product or service delivery name, address, URL or other logos should be placed within the area represented by red box.

The size of that area is a border equivalent to half the distance from the top of the letters “RA” to the highest point of the sweeping x’s arc as explained in the diagram 3 below.

The purpose is to preserve consistency and respect for the company mark. No decorative designs should be added to the logo. Any special request for alteration to the logo must be approved by the Exterran Corporate Communications office.
