Vent Scrubber

Exterran’s Vent Scrubber helps you run a safer and more environmentally responsible gas flare system by helping keep liquids out of your flare stack. It is a two-phase separator that scrubs free liquids from your vent gas stream prior to entering the relief and blow-down lines in your flare system. The unit is typically used downstream of gas treating equipment and can handle a wide range of flow rates. Versions for both onshore and offshore applications are available.

Key Benefits

  • Helps prevent liquids from entering the flare stack to help you run safer and cleaner operations
  • Latest ASME design and construction standards help ensure high performance and safety

  • Easy assembly and fast startup with optional skid-mounted system that includes level control and liquid evacuation pump
  • Engineered lifting lugs for ease of installation and safety
  • In-stock inventory and quick delivery allow fast startup

  • Added assurance of a warranty on our manufactured products that runs 12 months from startup or 18 months from delivery, whichever comes first
  • Prompt, professional service, support and spare parts from local technicians in or near every major oil & gas producing region in the United States and numerous areas around the world

How it Works

The production stream first encounters the inlet diverter, which causes initial separation of vent gas from liquid. The heavier liquid descends while the vent gas rises. Liquids exit the bottom of the vessel and the natural gas exits the top. With the optional skid-mounted system, the accumulated liquid is removed via a pneumatic level control and pump.
